The PC cost less then a Mac and if you already have a PC then
you don't need to rush out and buy a Mac.

You will need to decide what software you plan on using.

When you have decided which DAW you are going to use
you will be able to decide if you need a PC or a Mac.

After deciding on the DAW you will use
look at the minimum requirements for the DAW.
But try to get a system the has a lot more than the minimum.

The other question you need to ask is
should I get a desk top PC or a notebook?

A desk top pc will cost more but is easy to
upgrade and work on.

A notebook will be more portable and quiet.

So it depends on your budget and
if you need it to be portable.
